This Privacy Policy applies platform-wide — to Employers, Institutes/TPOs (including Coaching Centres), and individual Candidates (students and working professionals) alike. It works alongside the Data Privacy Policy, the Terms of Service (Employer), the Institute & TPO Terms of Service, and the Candidate Terms of Use — read together, not as substitutes for one another.

General privacy policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to LueinHire.com! This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information. By accessing or using our services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Information we collect

2.1. We collect information you provide, as well as data generated during your use of our platform. This includes personal information such as your name, contact details, and professional information provided during the registration process.

2.2. If you are using our Services because an Employer or a Company has invited you

If you are using our Services, then one of our platform's customer employers/companies has asked you to use our systems. In such cases, we are acting as a data processor, and we are collecting and processing your personal information on their behalf and in accordance with their instructions. In such cases, our platform's customer employers/companies are responsible for ensuring that your personal information is being collected and processed in accordance with data protection laws. If you have questions or concerns about the use of your personal data, you should contact the relevant employers/companies.

2.3. If you are using our Services because an Institute has invited you

If you were invited to use our Services by a college, university, coaching centre, or training institute (each an "Institute") — whether through a batch upload or an invite link — the Institute is responsible for having a lawful basis to share your contact details with us before inviting you, as set out in the Institute's agreement with LueinHire, accessible at Institute & TPO Terms of Service. We process your personal information to provide the assessment and reporting features the Institute has engaged us for. Your relationship with LueinHire regarding recording, AI scoring, and certificates is governed separately by the Candidate Terms of Use — see clause 3.1 below.

3. How we use your information

We respect your privacy and do not sell your information to third parties. LueinHire may use your personal information for the following purposes:

To facilitate job matching, improve our services, and communicate with you.
Your data may be used for analytics, research, and to enhance user experience.
To provide and enhance our Website and Services.
To improve the user experience of our Websites and Services.
To contact you in response to your request.
To contact you for administrative purposes or customer service purposes.
To track your status, submissions, video, audio, profile information as required for lawful delivery of our Services.
To verify your identity when subsequently logging in and using the Services.
To prevent you from navigating away from the test window while an assessment is ongoing.
To detect and prevent fraud, suspicious activities, and other illegal activities.
To analyse and improve products and services, collect feedback, enhance the Services, and evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing activities and overall services.
To perform statistical analysis on users of the Website and Services and track your use of the Website and Services.
To aggregate data; we may anonymize and aggregate data collected through our website and to create statistics that may be used for any purpose, provided that such statistics do not identify any customers or individuals or contain any Personal Information.
To comply with a law or regulation, court order, or other legal process.
To protect our rights and property.
To protect someone's health, safety, or welfare.

3.1. AI processing, recording, and automated scoring

Where the Services involve a recorded interview, video/audio assessment, or AI-generated score/recommendations/feedback, profile, or certificate, that processing — including what is recorded, how it is scored, who receives the results, how long it is retained, and the disclaimer that AI-generated scores are automated assessments and not certified psychological or professional evaluations — is described in full in the Candidate Terms of Use. This section of the Privacy Policy should be read together with that document, not instead of it.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience on our platform. These technologies help us understand user behavior, optimize site functionality, and deliver personalized content. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.

5. Information sharing

We may share your information with trusted third parties, such as employers and service providers, to provide and improve our services. Your data is shared in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. We are headquartered in India, but we use partners, systems & services providers from across the globe. We store and process your personal information on third-party servers, which may be located in India, Singapore, Europe, or USA. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the data protection laws in your country.

5.1. Channel Partners

Where an Institute has engaged LueinHire through a Channel Partner, that Channel Partner may access aggregated data such as revenue and student-count figures across the Institutes it manages. Channel Partners do not receive raw interview video, individual assessment scores, or other individually identifiable Candidate data beyond what is strictly necessary for their role, and are contractually prohibited from reselling or independently using aggregated data. These terms are set out in full in LueinHire's Channel Partner Data Access & Confidentiality Terms.

As and when required, we will ensure that your personal information will remain protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the applicable laws.

6. Data security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. We architect our systems to specifically protect your personal information, we regularly test our systems for intrusion/penetration, and we regularly get ourselves audited by third-parties for our technical and organizational security measures.

However, please note that no system is completely secure/immune from attacks, intrusions, design errors, implementation errors, and human errors. Therefore, we do not warrant that the information you transmit via LueinHire will not be lost or compromised.

7. Your choices

You have the right to access, update, and delete your personal information. You can manage your communication preferences and opt-out of certain data processing activities by informing us at support@lueinhire.com. However, some essential services may be unavailable if you choose to opt-out.

7.1. Minimum age and age verification

The Website and Services are intended solely for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We require a date of birth at the point of registration, and our systems are designed to block account creation — before any recording, scoring, resume, or other personal data is collected — where the date of birth provided indicates the registrant is under 18.

For Candidates invited by an Institute, whether via batch upload or invite link, the Institute separately represents and warrants to LueinHire that every individual it invites is 18 years of age or older, as set out in the Institute & TPO Terms of Service. This is an additional safeguard, not a substitute for the age gate described above, which applies independently of how a Candidate was invited.

If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from, or created an account for, someone under the age of 18 — whether through a false declaration, an Institute referral error, or otherwise — we will suspend the account and delete the associated personal information promptly. If you believe a child under 18 has registered or been registered on LueinHire, please alert us immediately at support@lueinhire.com so we can take these steps.

8. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Amendments to this policy will be posted on this URL https://www.lueinhire.com/policies/privacy-policy, and those amendments will be effective from the time they get posted. Your continued use of our Website and Services, after we post any amendment, shall constitute your acceptance of the amendment.

Job applicant / Candidate privacy policy

This part of the Policy applies to every Candidate whose data we process for an assessment — job applicants sourced through an Employer, and students referred by an Institute alike — not only individuals applying for a specific job.

9. Application and recruitment / assessment process

When you apply for jobs through LueinHire.com, or are assessed through the Services after being invited by an Institute, we collect and process your application or assessment data. This includes personal and professional information, resumes, and other documents you submit.

10. Sharing your resume

By submitting your resume, you consent to its sharing with potential employers. Your resume is shared only for relevant job opportunities, and you have control over the visibility of certain details.

11. Job matching algorithm

Our job matching algorithm analyzes your profile and preferences to suggest suitable job opportunities. This algorithm operates based on the information you provide and your usage patterns.

12. Employer communication

Potential employers may contact you through our platform based on job applications or profile visibility. We facilitate these communications but do not control or monitor the content of such interactions.

13. Retention of application / assessment data

We retain your application or assessment data for a reasonable period, even if your account is deactivated, to comply with legal obligations and improve our services.

14. Special note of third-party services

Our Website and Services may contain links to other websites and services provided by third-parties, for example our Employer or Company Job link or an Institute. Any personal information you provide on those third-party websites or services is provided directly to that third-party and is subject to that third-party's privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or policies of third party websites or services.
